At Guyana Port Inc. (GPI), we ensure a smooth and efficient project experience. Our onboarding process sets clear expectations, introduces you to our systems, and provides continuous support throughout your project journey.
1. Quotation Acceptance & Service Agreement
- After accepting the quotation, we’ll confirm your service date and send a booking schedule along with the Service Agreement.
- Once the agreement is signed, you’re ready to begin the onboarding process.
2. Onboarding Orientation
- Introduction to GPI’s Vision: Learn about our mission, values, and services, including shipbuilding, ship repairs, dredging, and welding and fabrication.
- System Overview: Get familiar with the tools and processes that will guide your project, ensuring a smooth experience.
- Key Forms & Timelines: We’ll introduce important documents such as:
- Change of Scope Forms: For any project adjustments.
- Daily Job Cards: To track project progress.
3. Client Support & Communication
- You’ll meet your Client Support Officer, who will be your main contact throughout the project.
- Your Client Support Officer will:
- Keep you updated on the project.
- Answer any questions or concerns.
- Ensure smooth communication with your project representative (the person overseeing the project on your side).
4. Client Confirmation & Project Handover
- After onboarding, you’ll sign the Client Confirmation Form, acknowledging that you understand our systems and procedures.
- Once signed, you’re handed over to the Projects Department to kick off the project.
- The Projects Department will finalize the plan, allocate resources, and confirm the timeline.
5. Project Execution & Ongoing Support
- The Projects Department will begin the project, ensuring everything is in place.
- Your Client Support Officer will continue assisting you and keeping communication clear throughout the project.
6. Feedback & Continuous Improvement
- After the project is complete, you’ll receive a Satisfaction Survey to share your feedback.
- Your input helps us improve and maintain high-quality service.
