Our Expert Welders

Our expertise is certified by leading industry organizations, including Det Norske Veritas (DNV), ensuring that our welding and fabrication processes meet the highest standards. Below is an overview of our certified welding services and their significance within our shipyard operations

Certification

GPI is certified by leading industry organizations,
ensuring that our services meet the highest
standards of quality and safety

American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)

Certification by ABS confirms that our welding and fabrication processes adhere to rigorous standards, ensuring the structural integrity and safety of the vessels we service

Det Norske Veritas (DNV)

DNV certification is a testament to our commitment to quality and safety. It ensures that our welding processes are compliant with international standards, providing our clients with confidence in the reliability of our services

Welding Techniques

This versatile welding technique is ideal for repairs and new fabrications, especially in environments where high strength and durability are required. SMAW is widely used in shipbuilding for welding thick sections of steel, such as in hull construction and structural repairs. Our DNV-certified welders ensure that every weld is executed to perfection, maintaining the integrity and safety of the vessel

Also known as TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, GTAW offers precise and clean welds, making it suitable for welding thin sections of stainless steel and non-ferrous metals like aluminum. In the marine industry, GTAW is often employed for high-quality welds in critical areas, such as piping systems and intricate components. Our certification in GTAW guarantees the reliability and longevity of the welds we produce

Commonly referred to as MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding, GMAW is a fast and efficient process ideal for high-volume production and repair work. It is frequently used in shipyards for welding large sections of metal, offering a good balance between speed and quality. Our DNV certification in GMAW ensures that our welds meet the stringent requirements of the marine industry

FCAW is a semi-automatic welding process that is particularly useful for welding thicker materials and in outdoor conditions where wind might affect shielding gases. This technique is used extensively in shipyard operations for tasks such as hull fabrication and repair. Our certified welders deliver robust and durable welds that withstand the demanding conditions of marine environments

Fabrication Services

Hull Fabrication

We specialize in the fabrication and repair of ship hulls, ensuring that the structural integrity of the vessel is maintained. Our certified welding processes play a crucial role in constructing and reinforcing hull sections, making them resilient to the harsh marine environment

Piping

Our expertise extends to the fabrication and repair of piping systems, which are critical for the vessel’s operations. Certified GTAW and SMAW welding processes are employed to ensure leak-free, high-quality welds in various piping materials

Sheet Metal Fabrication

We handle the fabrication of sheet metal components used throughout the vessel, from interior fittings to external cladding. Our precision welding techniques ensure that each component is fabricated to the exact specifications, contributing to the overall safety and functionality of the ship
